Digital Nomad Residence

Digital Nomads (International Teleworkers)
Foreigners from outside the EU can apply for a residence permit for international teleworking in order to carry out a work or professional activity at a distance for companies located outside the national territory, through the exclusive use of computer, telematic and telecommunication means and systems.
In the case of exercise of a labor activity, the holder of the authorization for telework of international character will only be able to work for companies located outside the national territory.
In the case of exercise of a professional activity, the holder of the authorization for telework of international character will be allowed to work for a company located in Spain, as long as the percentage of such work does not exceed 20% of the total of its professional activity.
- Accreditation of being graduates or postgraduates from universities of recognized prestige, professional training and business schools of recognized prestige or with a minimum of three years of professional experience.
- Existence of real and continuous activity on the part of the company with which the applicant contracts.
- Documentation proving that the employment or professional relationship can be performed remotely.
- Proof that the labor or professional relationship between the applicant and the worker has existed for at least three months, as well as documents proving the terms and conditions of the remote activity.
- Visa: When the applicant is outside Spain, he/she will obtain a permit to reside and work in the whole national territory, if he/she wishes. The duration of the permit is 1 year, unless the period of work is shorter, in which case the visa will have the same duration. After the year has elapsed, a residence permit must be requested.
- Residence authorization: when the applicant is legally in Spain, he/she will obtain a 3-year permit to reside and work throughout the national territory, if desired.
Investment Residency

The investment in Financial Assets or Real Estate is made through a Legal Entity domiciled in a territory that is not considered a tax haven under Spanish law.
Non-EU foreigners who are non-residents of the EU and are carrying out a business activity in the EU may apply for an investor visa or residence authorization. significant capital investment in:
Making an initial investment of an amount equal to or greater than:
- Two million euros in Spanish public debt securities, or
- One million euros in shares or equity interests in Spanish companies with a real business activity, or
- One million euros in investment funds, closed-end investment funds or venture capital funds incorporated in Spain, included within the scope of Law 35/2003, of November 4, on Collective Investment Institutions, or Law 22/2014, of November 12, regulating venture capital entities, other closed-end collective investment entities, and amending Law 35/2003, of November 4, or
- One million euros in bank deposits in Spanish financial institutions.
With an investment of 500,000 euros or more for each applicant.
A favorable report must be obtained prior to the application for the visa or residence authorization and for the issuance of such report must be submitted:
- Business Project Report Request Form.
- Copy of the National Identity Card or Passport.
- In the event that the application is not submitted by the applicant himself/herself, the supporting document authorizing the representative to submit the documentation in his/her place, together with the ID or passport of the representative, shall be attached.
- VisaWhen the applicant is outside Spain, he/she will obtain a permit to reside and work throughout the national territory, if he/she so desires. The duration of the permit is 1 yearexcept for the acquisition of real estate through a deposit contract, which is for 6 months. Once the year has elapsed, you must apply for a residence permit. Once the earnest money contract has been formalized, you must apply for a visa or residence authorization.
- Residence permitWhen the applicant is legally present in Spain, he/she will obtain a permit to work in Spain. 3 yearsto reside and work throughout the national territory, if desired.
